Google Launches Interactive Second-Screen App for their own Events

This week, Google launched an interactive Android- and web app which will be used as a second screen on the company's own events.

It's not the first time Google uses apps for its own Google I/O developers conference, but this time they develop an app which will serve for all events the search engine giant organises. In Google Play's description of the app, we learn that the app will be used to register for events, to communicate with speakers on stage, to make notes, to participate in the Q&A, to share content on social media and to request further follow-up information. That way, the app becomes a practical second screen for the events.

Registering yourself for an event is very simple, by the way. The invitations Google sends contain a personalised QR code. Guests can scan that QR code with the app. That's it.

Unfortunately, the app can only be used for Google events, but the concept is also inspiring for other event organisers.
